Report: Virginia Tech QB Jackson’s academic issue resolved

Virginia Tech quarterback Josh Jackson’s academic issues were cleared up and he will remain with the program, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.Reports from earlier this month stated that Jackson had been suspended indefinitely due to the situation.It appears the Hokies should have their sophomore quarterback on the field when they open up at Florida State on Sept. 4.Jackson passed for 2,991 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. He was intercepted nine times while helping the Hokies to a 9-4 record.Jackson also rushed for 324 yards and six scores.Jackson wasn’t named the starter after the team’s conclusion of spring drills, although the academic situation was not yet public.
